Here is a belated summary of last week's banding activity at Ridgway State Park.
-- It was an incredibly slow week, and I cut back on effort because it was almost impossible to train when catching a maximum of one or two birds per day. I ran the station Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday and caught a total of three birds. This included two new Blue-gray Gnatcatchers and one American Robin that had been banded on April 24th.
We are off to an interesting start this week. For photos of the nice birds that we caught today, check out our Facebook page.
