I'm driving to Kansas City this Wednesday, and I was wondering if anyone had ideas about an alternative to I-70 or Highway 24 north of there that has good birding stops. I was thinking of going through Lamar and then heading east. I've been to Cheyenne Bottoms, but I don't really know if it's worth a stop this time of year. If anyone has any suggestions that they want to send off-list, I would greatly appreciate it.
