A bird group I was leading for Louisville Open Space Dept. and I saw a Broad-winged Hawk in the woods of North Open Space this morning between 7:30 and 8:00 am. It flew to different perches on the edge of the woods where we could get good looks at it with a scope!
-- This open space is accessed from K. Helart Park off of Monarch St. and is north of So. Boulder Rd.
Many House Wrens had arrived in the area over night.
