[cobirds] Bird Conservancy of the Rockies - Barr Lake Banding Report, 10/7/26

The story of the first full week in October continues.......warmer than normal weather and relatively few birds banded. A total of 15 today, at least 1 of pretty much every expected species:

Red-breasted Nuthatch 2
Rock Wren 1
Ruby-crowned Kinglet 1
Hermit Thrush 1
Spotted Towhee 1
Song Sparrow 2
Lincoln's Sparrow 2
White-crowned Sparrow, Gambel's 2
White-crowned Sparrow, Mountain 1
White-crowned Sparrow, unidentified 1
Dark-eyed Junco, Oregon 1

We are open Tuesday through Sunday, weather permitting, through October 23.  Most weekday mornings there is a visitor session from 8 to 9 a.m., and on the weekends there are sessions at 8, 9 and 10 a.m. Reservations are needed; here is the link.   Please join us......It is a great year to visit Barr!
