Re: [cobirds] Of course, my mind wanders.

Looks like a pale Sandhill, to me.  I base my opinion on having observed thousands of Cranes migrating overhead, including Whoopers.  I'm from Northern Illinois. 
Sometimes the sun can hit a pale Sandhill just right. I had one a week ago that I gave a second look.

There was this appearing gray/whiteish body with them. Of course, zoomed in photos.
