[cobirds] Denver Botanic Gardens - Chatfield Farms

All:
Lots of hummingbirds at Chatfield Farms today:
Black Chinned - one male several females
Broad Tailed - males and females
Rufous - at least one male, one immature male, and several females
Possible Calliope Hummingbird - reported by another birder.

The main bridge crossing the creek, and the "Red Barn" area are hotspots, but hummingbirds are everywhere, chasing, fighting, and gathering nectar and insects.

Other birds in the area and up Deer Canyon:
Gray catbird
A family of Swainson's Hawks
A family of Cooper's Hawks
Lots of lesser and American goldfinches
Spotted Towhees - lots
Blue Gray Gnatcatchers
Say's Phoebes
Western Kingbirds
among others....

I'm guessing the hummers will be around for another couple weeks.  There are numerous bee and butterfly pollinators also, if you're into that stuff.  Check their website for hours and costs and events.
