[cobirds] Next BIRD BOMBS explodes July 20: I'm Molting!

Birders, get ready for the next BIRD BOMBS on July 20. I'm Molting! The Nuts and Bolts of Molt  Register for I'm Molting
.
We encounter the effects of molt all the time, especially now as we move into the end of the nesting season when we can often see it happening before our eyes. But it can be confusing to understand the terms and to see the patterns shared among many species. A basic (no pun intended) understanding of the molt cycle and the progression of plumages allows us to see more clearly. In BIRD BOMBS fashion we will break it apart and put it back together in a way to help understand the why, when and what of molt, using local species to illustrate what is going on.

Also, check out DFO's BIRD BOMBS archive for videos of episodes targeted to summer birding: "Summer Hummers," "It Has Yellow Legs," The Little Pipers," and more.
