[cobirds] Goshawk - Franktown, Douglas

An immature Northern Goshawk spent over a half hour in our yard this morning, including 25 minutes perched in one place. It flew around a few times, displaying its big size and banded tail. Curiously, the small birds ignored it. 6-8 House Finches perched 20 feet above it for a few minutes; juncos, jays, chickadees, and nuthatches flitted in and out with no apparent concern for the big predator.
