10:30 AM this morning, DFO trip had a singing 1st year male? summer tanager on old South Road, Boulder County, just SW of Lyons. Beautiful mottled bird, all yellow below, with a red/orange breast and a splash of red on his belly.
-- it was in the cottonwoods north of the road, at the west end of the big corral on the south side. Not as far west as the house W of the corral. There was a Virginia's Warbler working in the brush on the south side of the corral at the same spot.
