Late yesterday afternoon, June 26, 2022, I noticed a large dark swallow flying around the ball fields at Clark Centennial Park in Central Longmont, just south of Timberline High School. I did not have binoculars with me so was unable to view details. Todd Deininger lives nearby and was able to come over and corroborate the identification as a female or immature Purple Martin. Hopefully the bird is locally resident and will permit photo and audio documentation. I found only two records for Boulder County on eBird and none for the month of June.
