I believe this to be a Chihuahuan Raven from an outing yesterday. The photo is from Douglas County which has few sightings of Chihuahuan Ravens in ebird so I want to make sure of my ID. The bird was about 50 yards out and the photo is heavily cropped. The bird was vocalizing and giving many different calls. It seemed to be answered by another bird that was more distant and I was not able to find it. This went on for at least 10 minutes and I've attached a short cell phone (Merlin) recording of this bird's contribution to the interaction (beware, it is very low volume).
I intend to go back to this location today to see if I can re-locate this bird and, hopefully, the other party in this conversation.
