Alerted to a Pacific Loon by another birder leaving the spit by the marina at Chatfield. I was able to see it for myself and point it out to two others. Amy Darling commented on my Kittiwake CFO Facebook post and provided a picture. She had not confirmed the ID. The Kittiwake was not seen from the spit - however, I stopped at the Fox Run Picnic area on the Jefferson County side and myself and another birder saw the Kittiwake with a flock of mixed gulls there (Ring-bills and a few Bonaparte's). I'm sure there could have been more species for gulls, but, not my strong suit. I took some pics and decided to head back to the marina area and alert other birders. I was only able to contact Burke Angstman, and we headed back to the picnic area. As we observed the Kittiwake, he pointed out a 2nd one! I was able to get a pic with both in the frame (see my FB CFO post)
