Molt 101: An Introduction to Understanding Molt in Birds

Thursday, November 18th from 11am - 12pm Mountain Time

All birds have feathers, and all birds need to replace those feathers from time to time. The study of molt, or feather replacement, is chock-full of jargon and can be difficult to approach. What is the difference between juvenile and immature? Why do Blue Jays go bald sometimes? Why do some birds have a breeding plumage while others look the same all year-round? We'll take a close look at all this and more! Join us for our Molt 101 webinar at 11am MST on Nov. 18th; you'll see how understanding molt can enhance your birdwatching skills and further your appreciation of our feathered friends.

The program fee is $3 to attend this webinar.

In order to provide equitable access to all, complimentary tickets are available at no cost to the participant thanks to support from generous donors.

After registering you will receive a confirmation email containing the ZOOM link to be used the day of the webinar.

*Registration closes at 9:00 am the day of the webinar
