Denver Audubon has initiated a field trip package for birders with disabilities. Today's hike, led by Bob Roark, went along the Sand Creek Greenway (near where the Groove-billed Ani showed up some years ago). We didn't see an Ani, or anything other birds to raise an alert. We did see a surprising number of American Goldfinches --31 -- a bird we have seen few of recently where we live. Otherwise the list of 14 species included 3 ducks, an American Tree Sparrow, and 25 House Finches.
But we enjoyed the company and the enthusiasm of the birders on the walk. Picture attached.
