[cobirds] Common Redpolls in Pueblo Co.

The Common Redpoll invasion has made it to Pueblo County.  I had one early Monday flying around calling with goldfinches near South Marina at Pueblo Reservoir.  I have heard there were some coming to feeders in Pueblo West over the weekend, and two were seen at Hobie Cat Road at Pueblo Reservoir in sunflowers on Tuesday afternoon.  Sounds like a few other sightings in Huerfano, Otero, Fremont, and El Paso Counties over the weekend.  I wonder how far south they are going to go and if we'll find them on Christmas Bird Counts down here.

A few goodies continue on Pueblo Reservoir, the Red-throated Loon last seen on Tuesday, Pacific Loon on Saturday, Red-necked Grebe on Monday, the Great Black-backed and few Lesser Black-backed Gulls continue this week.  Surf Scoters continue at Valco Ponds as well.

Good birding,

Brandon K. Percival
