[cobirds] Weld Co Ponds 4-28-18

Sparse shorebirding today-best birds were four Whimbrels at a farm pond 0.4 miles north of the intersection of WCR 42 and 47 on west side of road-also a pair of Greater Scaup on that pond. Loloff had a lonely Lesser Yellowlegs and Beebe draw had 31 Avocets and five Long-billed dowitchers plus some Wilson's Phalaropes. One Greater Yellowlegs was at the large farm pond on the north side of 42. Not quite up to Ruff/Dunlin standards but I do love seeing Whimbrels! Good birding... Bill Fink. Longmont
