COBirders,
-- I know this is a highly controversial topic but I am asking for the leader of the upcoming Denver Audubon field trips this weekend.
If you have information that would help with these educational field trips (where the importance of keeping your distance, observing with scopes, and not doing anything to lead nest predators or unsavory characters to disturb the nesting cycle will be taught) I would appreciate a private response I can pass along.
Bald Eagle, Great horned Owl and Red-tailed Hawk nest locations are known so specific observation opportunities for falcons, accipiters, other owls (only if easily visible from afar like burrowing owls), Swainson's Hawks, Northern Harriers, and/or Golden Eagles, especially within 10-15 miles or so of the Audubon Center at Chatfield, would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
Chip Clouse
Golden
