About 15 minutes after Elaine, Walter and a bird photographer left the stakeout location on Cache la Poudre Drive east of Laporte off Taft, the Palm Warbler chipped from the fallow field well west of the houses and flew up into a large cottonwood just 20 feet south of the olives where Georgia first reported it. The time was 2:25pm on 19Dec. (What was the warbler doing in a kochia field? Go figure.)
