[cobirds] Fort Collins rarities (Larimer)

The Harris's Hawk was present today from 2:30-3pm on the frontage road north of the signal light on Prospect that is just east of the entrance to the Welcome Center.   Going north on the frontage road from the light on Prospect, the road is straight n-s.  It then curves to the east.  Just n of the curve is a big Russian-olive.  Just w of the big Russian-olive is a small Russian-olive.  The bird was in the smaller olive until a Red-tailed Hawk displaced it, at which time the Harris's flew sw toward the Hageman's landscape place and I lost it.  Tom and Mary France got to see it flying.

I also checked today for the Palm Warbler on Cache la Poudre Drive in Laporte and did NOT detect it.  This photo is from Dec 19th.

The red-phase Eastern Screech-Owl was present outside its cavity at Grandview Cemetery in Fort Collins at 4pm today.
