[cobirds] 2 spots have opened up for tomorrow's Boulder County Big Night

Hey, everybody.

We've had a cancellation for the CFO The Big Night in Boulder County, and we can accommodate two (2) more participants. Please email me asap if you are interested. I'm tfloyd "at" aba.org. Here is the trip announcement:

While I have your attention, here are a few odds and ends from around Boulder County today:

* in the innominate open space east of Cherryvale Road and just south of U.S. 36, lots of bobolinks and savannah sparrows and a few Wilson snipes

* in a tree in my front yard in Lafayette, definitely in the "go figure" category, a loudly declaiming red-eyed vireo; it sang for a minute or so, never to be heard from again

* over at Hecla Lake, a continuing hooded merganser, a snowy egret, a common nighthawk, and a chimney swift

Am still hearing wood-pewees--probably Westerns, but who knows--migrating through the lowlands.
