Re: [cobirds] White Ibis new location in Adams County

To clarify Nick's location description just a bit for those not familiar with the Lowell Ponds area,  the "pond with a swim beach and heronry" is Lake Sangraco.

To view the island with the heronry you should approach up Lowell Blvd. from the south .  There is room to pull completely off the boulevard on the east side.

Whether this is strictly legal depends upon where you are relative to the "no parking " signs.

The white ibis is sleeping among over 60 Snowy Egrets but can, with patience, be picked out (red bill and feet are a clue).

It is likely that it will return to Lowell Ponds tomorrow morning.

The White Ibis has moved further east across Lowell Boulevard to the pond with the swim beach and the Heronry. island. It is visible on the west side of the island in a Russian olive tree from Lowell Boulevard.
