COBirders-- Jim and Irene Thompson (of La Junta) just called to report a pair of Purple Martins going in and out of a (nest?) hole in a tree about 15 miles west of Aguilar, in the mountains. Jim is taking photos. For those of you who are new to birding in our state, this species very rarely nests on the eastern slope.
