On Sept 6 the Chatfield Marina Sandspit did have a 1st cycle Herring Gull standing tall among the other gulls (I'd rather have seen the Jaeger!), which was my 1st of the season, along with 2 young Black Terns, and 2 Lark Buntings flushed up on the walk out the spit. Hine Lake at Robert A. Easton Regional Park had 3 FOS Ring-necked Ducks and 2 Wilson's Phalaropes.
-- On September 5 a female Black-and-white Warbler was along Massey Draw below my home in Ken Caryl Valley, along with a Willow Flycatcher and 2 Dusky Flycatchers.
On the early evening of September 4 I noted 6 Chimney Swifts migrating south past St. Mary Church along So. Prince Street in Littleton over about 30 minutes.
