On Monday night August 22, 2016, Steve Jones will provide Denver Field Ornithologists with a fascinating multimedia overview of the Nebraska Sandhills, well known as a stopover and breeding area for many birds. Steve was a regional coordinator and technical consultant for the Colorado Breeding Bird Atlas.
His multimedia presentation matches vibrant images of the Sandhills throughout the seasons with these natural sounds. Signed copies of his new CD, Sandhills Serenade, and his book, The Last Prairie, will be available for purchase after the presentation.
DFO meetings are held at the Denver Museum of Nature & Science and are free and open to the public. Park on the north side of the building and enter through the security/employee door. More bird books from the Hageman collection will be available for a donation to the DFO grants fund. The meeting starts at 7:30pm.
