[cobirds] Ken Caryl Valley, JeffCo, 8-25

[Note: there is not general public access to Ken Caryl Ranch.]

The willows of Massey Draw below my home in Ken Caryl Valley had lots of activity on this cool morning, led by a wave of about 30 Wilson's Warblers and about 23 Western Wood-Pewees. There were often 5-8 pewees in view at once, dashing here and there, chasing and flycatching. The air was fairly crackling with their bill snaps.

Among others noted were 1 Cassin's Vireo, 3 Warbling Vireos, 1 Hammond's Flycatcher, 8 Cordilleran Flycatchers, 1 female American Redstart, 1 Townsend's Warbler, 8 Yellow Warblers, and 4 Western Tanagers.

I wish I had more time to poke around this morning.
