On the heels of Steve Mlodinow's Aug. 25 report of a northern waterthrush in the park, Karen Drozda and I also found one on Sunday afternoon, Aug. 28. It was directly below the pedestrian bridge that crosses over the Denver & Hudson Canal (mostly mud and some standing water now) by the park nature center. It was on the west bank, ducking out of and into tall grass.
Good birding!
