Bent County Road 10, roughly a half mile south of the Fort Lyon Canal: two Lewis's Woodpeckers in a dead cottonwood tree
Adobe Creek Reservoir / Blue Lake (Bent Co.): late Red-necked Phalarope, sights and sounds of many Sandhill Cranes

Jackson Lake (Morgan Co.): Red-necked Grebe -- a real one this time -- seen from north shore. Large numbers of Western Grebes (>2000) and gulls (Franklin's, Ring-billed, Herring, California, 1 Lesser Black-backed). It is not a good week to be a small fish in this lake! Also, I did *not* see the Parasitic Jaeger but could have easily missed it.

Prewitt Reservoir (Washington Co.): Nice collection of shorebirds (expected species) near western end of lake. Lesser Black-backed Gull seen close up plus an intriguing but unidentified small gull seen far away.
North Sterling Reservoir (Logan Co.): Thousands of American White Pelicans catching fish in the lake that continues to shrink rapidly.
Crow Valley Campground (Weld Co.): Ongoing Red-bellied Woodpecker, Broad-winged Hawk, and White-throated Sparrow. Late Townsend's Warbler. Total bird numbers rather low.
