ARAPAHOE COUNTY:
--A f Vermilion  Flycatcher was reported by Cheri Phillips at Smoky Hill Picnic Area at Cherry Creek SP on April 21.

ARAPAHOE/DOUGLAS/JEFFERSON COUNTIES:
--On April 23, Suddjian reported an ad Broad-winged Hawk flying over Douglas County into Jefferson County and then
into Arapahoe county.  He was at South Platte Reservoir.

BACA COUNTY:
--On April 18, Matt Clark reported 3 Canyon Towhees at Cottonwood Canyon.

BENT COUNTY:
--A Piping Plover was reported by Duane Nelson at John Martin Reservoir on April 9.  On April 17, Duane Nelson reported that 3 more Piping Plovers have arrived at John Martin Reservoir.
--A Caspian Tern was found by Duane Nelson at John Martin Reservoir on April 15.  Duane Nelson reported the Caspian Tern on north side of John Martin on April 17.
 
BOULDER COUNTY:
--On April 12, Waltman reported Black Phoebe at 75th St Bridge over Boulder Creek.  On April 15, Minner-Lee reported Black Phoebe at 75th St and Boulder Creek.  On April 19, Burke reported Black Phoebe at 75th St and Boulder Creek.
On April 24, Joan Coxe reported Black Phobe at 75th St and Boulder Creek.  On April 25, Bill Kaempfer reported Black Phoebe at 75th St and Boulder Creek.
--On April 18, Minner-Lee reported Golden-crowned Sparrow at Teller Farm.  
--A Slate-colored Fox Sparrow was reported by Dowell on Skunk Canyon Trails on April 21.  On April 22, Minner-Lee reported Fox Sparrow at Skunk Canyon Trails.
--On April 23, Ted Floyd reported a migrating Broad-winged Hawk over Greenlee Preserve in Lafayette.
--A Black Phoebe was reported by Paula Hansley at Walden Ponds on April 25.
--A Broad-winged Hawk was reported by Carl Starace flying over Rabbit Mountain on April 25.
--A Gray Flycatcher was reported by Mark Minner-Lee on the NW side of Waneka Lake on April 25.

DELTA COUNTY:
--A Caspian Tern was reported by Stigen at Hart's Basin on April 21.
--A Black Phoebe was reported by Robinsong at the Hotchkiss Sew Pond on April 22.

DOLORES COUNTY:
--A pair of Black Phobe was reported by Garrison at the boat launch at Bradfield Bridge Campground on the lower Dolores River on April 18.

DOUGLAS COUNTY:
--3 McCown's Longspurs were reported by Kirkpatrick at the Model Airplane Field at Chatfield on April 16.  On April 17, Kellner reported 2 McCown's Longspurs ( 1f, 1 molting male) and 2 Chestnut-collared Longspurs (1f, 1 molting male) at the Model Airplane Field at Chatfield.  On April 18, Manwaring reported 2 McCown's Longspure at Model Airplane Field at Chatfield.
--An Eastern Phoebe was reported by Farrell at Chatfield SP on the road to washout on April 19.
--A pair of Eastern Phoebe was reported by Suddjian at Plum Creek near the picnic area at Chatfield on April 21.  An Eastern Phoebe was reported by Kibbe at Plum Creek Detla on April 23.
--A Least Flycatcher was reported by Glenn Walbek at Chatfield SP downstream of Kingfisher Bridge.
--3 Eastern Phoebes were reported by Joey Kellner at Chafield SP on April 25.

EL PASO COUNTY:
--An Eastern Phoebe was reported by Nikolai at Kettle Lakes on April 17.
--On April 21, William Ferrier III reported pair of Mountain Plovers at Squirrel Creek Road and Ellicott Hwy in the field to the north between 3rd and 4th telephone pole, about 75 ft beyond the fence.  They appear to be nesting.

FREMONT COUNTY:
--2 Caspian Terns were reported by Rich Miller at Brush Hollow Reservoir on April 19.

GUNNISON COUNTY:
--A ROCK WREN was reported by Marcel Such at South Parlin Flats on April 23.

JACKSON COUNTY:
--On April 17, Bert Harris reported Fox Sparrow , 3 McCown's Longspurs, and Brown-capped Rosy-Finch at Moose Visitor Center.
 
JEFFERSON COUNTY:
--On April 7, Kibbe reported Eastern Phoebe upstream from Kingfisher Bridge at Chatfield SP.  On April 10, Chavez reported 2 Eastern Phoebe upstream from Kingfisher Bridge at Chatfield SP.  On April 13, Robert Martinez reported Eastern Phoebe at Kingfisher Bridge at Chatfield.  On April 15, Kellner reported Eastern Phoebe downstream of Kingfisher Bridge at Chatfield.  On April 18, Drummond reported Eastern Phoebe downstream of Kingfisher Bridge at Chatfield.  On April 21, Suddjian reported a pair of Eastern Phoebe at Kingfisher Bridge.
--A McCown's Longspur was reported by Suddjian at Hildebrand Ranch Park on April 16.
--A dark morph  Broad-winged Hawk was reported by Rouch migrating over Dinosaur Ridge on April 18.  On April 20, Commercon reported 5 Broad-winged Hawks including a dark-morph adult over Dinosaur Ridge.  On April 23, Rouch reported 2 Broad-winged Hawks at Dinosaur Ridge.
--2 Eastern Phoebes were reported by Cynthia Madsen at Denver Botanic Gardens at Chatfield on April 21.  An Eastern Phoebe was reported by Norm Lewis at Denver Botanic Gardens at Chatfield on April 22.
--An Eastern Phoebe was reported by Alec Hopping at Chatfield SP at Deer Creek on April 24.
--A Golden-winged Warbler was reported by Art Hudak at Main Reservoir on the west side along trail where houses are parallel with reservoir.  Follow trail until you come to a bench on the left.  The warbler was about 50 ' from the bench.

LA PLATA COUNTY:
--A LUCY'S WARBLER was reported by Riley Morris on the  Animas Trail across from the La Plata County Fairground on April 23.  On April 24, Susan Allerton relocated the LUCY'S WARBLER on the Animas River Trail, S of river trail parking area off 29th St,
--A Green Heron was reported by Jim Beatty at Pastorius Reservoir on April 25.  It was flushed from the inlet channel.

LARIMER COUNTY:
--On April 18, Sean Walters reported McCown's Longspur at Equalizer Lake.
--On April 19, Bruening reported 2 Long-tailed Ducks at Timnath Reservoir on the east side.
--A possible BAIRD's SPARROW was reported by Wade at Douglass Lake/Reservoir on the ditch road on the east side of the lake on April 21.
--An ad Broad-winged Hawk was reported by Sparks at McMurry Natural Area on April 22.
--A Broad-winged Hawk was reported by Wade at Grandview Cemetery on April 23.
--A Lesser Black-backed Gull was reported by David Wade at Rawhide Energy Station/Hamilton Reservoir on April 24.
--2 ROCK WRENS were reported by David Wade on CR 5 east of Rawhide Power Plant on April 24.
--2 Lesser Black-backed Gulls (1 ad, 1 2nd-cyc) were reported by Nick Komar at the Larimer County Landfill on April 25.
--A Slate-colored Fox Sparrow was reported by Eric DeFonso at Rocky Mt NP on the Cub Lake Trail in Moraine Park on April 25.
--Rock Wrens were reported by Nick Komar at Dixon Reservoir on April 25.

MESA COUNTY:
--A pair of Black Phoebe was reported by Henwood on the Audubon Trail at Phoebe Rock on April 20.

MONTROSE COUNTY:  
--On April 20, Dexter reported Gray Flycatcher and several Black Phoebes in Uravan.

MORGAN COUNTY:
--At Jackson Lake SP, Dowell reported 2 Thayer's Gulls, and ICELAND (Kumlien's) Gull on April 20.  On April 25, Dave Dowell reported 5 Lesser Black-backed Gulls and 1 1st-yr Thayer's Gull at Jackson Lake SP.  

OTERO COUNTY:
--A Little Blue Heron was reported by Chris Wilkens at the confluence of King Arroyo and Arkansas River on April 22.

PARK COUNTY:
A ROCK WREN was reported by Sue Riffe on the SE side of Antero Reservoir on April 24.

PROWERS COUNTY:
--3 Northern Cardinal were reported by Komar at Lamar Community College Woods on April 15.  A pair of Northern Cardinals was reported by Dan Stringer at Lamar Community College Woods on April 22.

PUEBLO COUNTY:
--A Red-necked Grebe close to breeding plumage was reported by Percival off Sailboard launching area of Pueblo Reservoir on April 11.  On April 19, Percival reported Red-necked Grebe from North Picnic Road at Pueblo Reservoir.  On April 22, Percival reported that the Red-necked Grebe continues off Sailboard launching area of Pueblo Reservoir.
--A BAIRD'S SPARROW was reported by Percival at Pueblo Reservoir SWA on the NW side on April 16.
--On April 22, Percival reported singing Eastern and Black Phoebes at Osprey Picnic Area in Rock Canyon.
--A COMMON BLACK HAWK was reported by Percival flying over the east end of Osprey Picnic Area along the Arkansas River on April 23.

WELD COUNTY:
--A GLAUCOUS-WINGED GULL was reported by Mlodinow at Lower Latham Reservoir on April 16
--2 Mountain Plovers were reported by Bruening at the SW corner of CR 41 and CR 100 on April 19.
--A GLAUCOUS-WINGED GULL was reported by Restiva at the North Weld County Landfill on April 19.
--A pair of Broad-winged Hawks was reported by Pauli Smith circling above Mead on April 23.

The next monthly meeting of Denver Field Ornithologists will be on Monday, April 27 at 0930 at the Denver Museum of Nature and Science.  Nathan Pieplow will speak on "Listen to her sing."   Meeting is in Ricketson Auditorium.  Park on the north side of the Museum and enter in the north side security/employee entrance and tell the guard that you are there for the DFO meeting.
