On April 2 with high-powered scope the Brant was seen south of the Monte Vista NWR, west side of Hwy 15; also 4 Snow Geese. No White-fronted Geese were seen and fewer Sandhill Cranes, perhaps because strong winds have kicked up. Merlin was across the road from MVNWR office.
