Last Saturday my son Bob took my car and me from 10AM to 2:30PM
here, Great for handicapped birders . The Wildlife Drive Auto Tour
is especially good for
viewing birds. There is a wide shoulder (dirt) to pull off on to
view birds from the car . Most of the road is tree lined too.
Special birds seen along here were Mockingbird and
soon later a pair of them, one with nesting material. Parked at Lake
Mary where there were 2 DC Cormorants and about 12 Bank Swallows.
Short trail here to a hill with
grove of trees and tables for lunch. Willow Flycatcher seen here.
Then on to 6th avenue east past Lower Derby lake saw an Eastern
Kingbird and White Pelicans also
Canada Geese on he lake.
On way out we scared up a Common Nighthawk . Total 25 species seen.
Adams County
Sorry this is a few days late.
