[cobirds] RFI: Birding in Grand Lake

Hello All,

I will be in Grand Lake (Grand County) on Thursday and Friday of this week and am wondering if anyone that is familiar with the area could give me any tips on the following species:

Red Crossbill (I know they are nomadic, but if there are any good sites, that would be helpful)
Dusky Flycatcher
Hammond's Flycatcher
Olive-sided Flycatcher
Black-chinned Hummingbird (I think this is a bit of a long shot, but they have been seen in Estes recently according to eBird)

I was planning on stopping to find some Ptarmigan in Rocky Mountain National park, and would assume that the three flycatchers would be easy to find there. I have a copy of Birding Rocky Mountain National Park, and it comments that they are in the area, but the sites it suggests are on the east side of the park, and I will be on the west side only.

Thanks for any advice
John Jones
Lakewood, CO (Jefferson County)
