I saw both Chestnut-collared and Thick-billed longspurs today (6-9-23) between 0.2 and 0.4 miles east of the intersection of WCR's 114 and 45. Had to walk around 50 yards out on the south side of the road to see them-there were Thick-billed closer to the road on the north side. I stopped by the northwest end of Union R. In the late afternoon and there were approximately 100 white pelican floating just off the shore. Good birding! Bill Fink. Longmont
