[cobirds] Bird Found by Student Wash Park Denver

Hey Everyone,

I always enjoy reading interesting posts that folks put on here, but never have felt like I have had anything of note to contribute, until now.  I teach at Denver South High School, which is located right near Wash Park.  Enjoying birds as much as I do I can't help but talk about birds with my students.  As many of you know, talking about birds to non birders often leads to the challenging task of attempting to identify an extremely blurry photo of a very common bird.

One student has recently been showing me photos of birds he has seen in Wash Park, last time he showed me photos they were pictures of a Red-winged Blackbird and a Starling.  Today as he was walking out of class he said he had a photo of another bird he saw today and I was blown away by what he showed me.  He had a picture of a Yellow-Crowned Night Heron. Attached is my photo of his photo, I'm hoping someone can refind and enjoy.  I may not have time to look this evening to verify, but he has no reason to make it up and told me it was just oddly walking around by the rec center.YCNH.jpg
