[cobirds] Bird Conservancy of the Rockies Chico Banding Station-May 25, 2023

A strange day with cool cloudy morning. Not much action at the banding station and not much singing going on either. 

18 New Banded Birds

Western Wood-Pewee- 4

Least Flycatcher- 1

Lazuli Bunting- 5

Western Kingbird- 1

Yellow-breasted Chat- 1

Swainson's Thrush- 5

Hermit Thrush- 1

3 Recaptures

Bullock's Oriole- 2

Common Yellowthroat

1 Returning Bird -not from this season

Bullock's Oriole female -at least 3 years old

The Banding station will be open tomorrow and Saturday this week. We still have Mon-Friday next week so hoping the migration is not ending this abruptly.
