Re: [cobirds] Adult brown pelican at Pueblo Reservoir, Sailboard Beach, right now

Unfortunately, the Brown Pelican didn't hang out, last seen flying west from Sailboard launching area.  A pretty good search of the entire didn't turn it up.  I think this is the 3rd Brown Pelican for Pueblo County, all have been in April or May.

Just got a call from Tom Johnson, who's looking at an adult brown pelican at Pueblo Reservoir, Pueblo Co., right now, 8:35am, Sunday morning, Apr. 16. Tom and his companions are watching it from the Sailboard Beach.

Because the pelican is an adult, we might be able to ascertain whether it is of Gulf Coast or Pacific Coast (or Sea of Cortez) origin.
