Today at about 11:15, I encountered a flock of about 20 Pinyon Jays feeding and flying about on a residential property on Thomas Lane, south of Boulder on the west side of Highway 93/ Broadway. Thomas Lane is about a mile or so south of Greenbriar in Boulder and is identified by the sign for the trailhead parking area for "West South Boulder Creek ". The road continues west and serves a small subdivision. The Jays were toward the west end of the road (which is also an extension of the Lower Big Bluestem Trail)on the north side --
