ARAPAHOE COUNTY:
—-On September 14 Sabine's Gull was reported at Cherry Creek SP. First reported here by Cynthia Madsen on September 13.
DENVER COUNTY:
—On September 14 a GROOVE-BILLED ANI continued in the Sand Creek riparian, ranging widely from Smith Rd, upstream to Havana. On September 14 it was upstream from the pedestrian bridge near the mouth of Westerly Creek. It was first reported September 8 by Jason Bidgood closer to Xanthia St. Park on 37th near Alton Ct, and look for the gaggle of birders.
—On September 9 a White-winged Dove was reported at Sand Creek—Westerly Creek to Smith Rd by Tony Leukering.
DOUGLAS COUNTY:
—On September 14 (3) Sabine's Gulls were reported at Chatfield SP—Plum Creek delta. First reported here and at the Marina Sandspit over the past two weeks by many observers.
—On September 9 a Caspian Tern was reported at the Chatfield SP—Marina Sandpit by Kevin Williams.
JEFFERSON COUNTY:
—On September 14 Sabine's Gull was reported from Chatfield SP—S Platte Delta. First reported on September 11 by Lorraine Lanning.
—On September 12 a Philadelphia Vireo was reported at Chatfield SP—Deer Creek by James McCall.
KIOWA COUNTY:
—On September 7 and 9 a RUBY-THROATED HUMMINGBIRD was seen in Eads by Steven Mlodinow.
LINCOLN COUNTY:
On September 14 a Buff-breasted Sandpiper was reported from Evilsizer Reservoir by Mark Peterson. This treasured wetland lies between Lincoln CRs 33 & 39 and between CRs U & R. It is on the eBird hotspot map and is probably not near your house.
PUEBLO COUNTY:
—On September 13 Sabine's Gull was reported at Pueblo Reservoir—Sailboard area; first reported September 11 by Evan Carlson.
—On September 12 a Purple Martin, rare on the plains in fall, was seen at Chico Basin Ranch (Headquarters) by Myron Gerhard.
WASHINGTON COUNTY:
—On September 8 a Buff-breasted Sandpiper was reported near the inlet canal of Prewitt Reservoir; first reported September 7 by David Tonnesson.
