[cobirds] Bird walk at Greenlee Preserve, Boulder Co., tomorrow, Sun., Sept. 8, at 1pm

Hello, everybody.

The City of Lafayette, eastern Boulder County, is sponsoring a bird walk, free and open to the public, tomorrow afternoon, Sunday, September 8. We start at 1pm(ish), wrapping up around 3pm(ish). We'll snake our way along Waneka Lake's west shore, then over to Hecla Pond, then past the magic fairy garden (surely, you want to see what that is all about!), then over to Greenlee Preserve and the adjoining Thomas Open Space. Expect to walk about two miles on well-graded, nearly flat, gravel trails. And expect to see many birds. Butterflies and dragonflies too.

All are welcome, no experience necessary. Bring your phones and cameras, bring your kids and pets, bring Kombucha and kale chips to share, bring good spirits and good cheer. See you tomorrow at 1pm!

Oh, yeah. The meeting place. The observation deck at Greenlee Preserve, Boulder County, just south of Baseline Road. Get precise details here:

Come to think of it, you might want to back off about 75 feet from the exact point at which that stickpin is dropped. Otherwise, you'll find yourself knee deep in the shallows of Greenlee Reservoir, fending off Virginia rails and widow skimmers.

Okay, see you tomorrow. 1pm at Greenlee.
