The second week of the fall season is in the books for Chico Basin. Today had the coolest start yet, but it warmed up pretty quickly by the end of the morning. The birds were rather quiet, and we had a modest number of captures but a pretty nice variety; we had 29 newly-banded birds of 14 species. Among the birds we particularly appreciated was the first Red-breased Nuthatch of the season and a Red-eyed Vireo.
-- The summary:
Wilson's Warbler 9
Dusky Flycatcher 1
House Wren 1
Cassin's Vireo 1
MacGillivray's Warbler 2
