[cobirds] Gray Flycatchers & more, Greenlee Preserve, Boulder County, May 8

Hey, folks.

Great birding in the rain today, Wed., May 8, at Greenlee Preserve & environs, Boulder County. The highlight was at least 3 and perhaps 4 or 5 gray flycatchers. The species was considered casual, maybe even accidental, in the county when I moved here in 2002. Now it is annual in spring in small numbers.

Eleven species of sparrows included clay-colored, Brewer, white-throated, vesper, and Lincoln.

Warblers: orange-crowned, yellow, Audubon, myrtle, Wilson, and common yellowthroat.

Also: hoodie & woody, osprey, bushtit, blue-gray gnatcatcher, ruby-crowned kinglet, American pipit, and Bullock oriole.
