[cobirds] Bird Conservancy Banding Report - Chatfield, 5/29/19

Today we shared our love of birds with an enthusiastic group of CPW rangers-in-training.  We continued to catch a good number of birds and variety of species.  51 new birds today:

Dusky Flycatcher 7
Cordilleran Flycatcher 2
Swainson's Thrush 5
Gray Catbird 4
Cedar Waxwing 3
Yellow Warbler 8 new, 1 banded 2017
Yellow-rumped Warbler, Audubon's 2
American Redstart 1 banded 2016
Common Yellowthroat 2
Wilson's Warbler 1
Yellow-breasted Chat 2
Western Tanager 1
Song Sparrow 2
Lincoln's Sparrow 3
Bullock's Oriole 1

This is our last week; we will take down the station after banding on Friday. We have a group from 8-10 on Thursday, no visitors scheduled on Friday.  We are opening nets at 6:30, and most days have birds back at the station by 7:15. We aim to close by noon most days, earlier if it is very hot, very cold, or very windy.
