BENT COUNTY:

—-On May 4 a LESSER NIGHTHAWK was reported from Van's Grove (Bent CR JJ, east of Ft Lyon), Found on May 3 by Duane Nelson.

—-On May 1 a KING RAIL (heard only, recorded) was reported from Ft Lyon--Bent CR 16 marshes by Nick Komar. There are only a few previous eBird records.

—-On May 3 a Worm-eating Warbler was reported at Melody Temple Grove, west of the bridge, by Luke Pheneger.


BOULDER COUNTY

—-On May 2 a Scarlet Tanager was reported from the Confluence neighborhood in Lyons. First reported on April 28 by Joel Such.


CROWLEY COUNTY: 

—-On May 2 a Black-throated Green Warbler was reported from Olney Springs SWA by Brandon Percival.


FREMONT COUNTY:

—- On May 4 a Yellow-crowned Night Heron continued at Sell Lake in Canon City. Take Sell Road east from 9th Street to the pond on the south side, before reaching Canon City Riverwalk. Do not trespass beyond the open gate. First reported April 24 by Derek Huggins.

—-On May 3 Worm-eating Warbler was reported from Cañon City Riverwalk--Sell Lake to S Raynolds Ave by Diana Beatty.


JEFFERSON COUNTY:

—-On May 4 a Canada Jay was reported from Chatfield SP (Dog Run) by Jeremy Martinez. This is a low altitude eBird record for May for this montane corvid.

—-On May 3 a NEOTROPIC CORMORANT was reported at Robert A Easton Regional Park. First reported April 12 by David Suddjian.


KIOWA COUNTY:

—-On May 4 a PAINTED REDSTART was reported at the Kiowa Co Courthouse in Eads. First found on May 2 by Joey Kellner & Norm Erthal.


LARIMER COUNTY:

—-On May 2 an adult Ruddy Turnstone was reported from Arapahoe Bend Natural Area--Rigden Reservoir (Strauss Cabin Lake). First reported May 1 by by Jim Nachel.

—-On May 4 a COMMON GALLINULE was reported from Wellington State Wildlife Area, first seen by John Bruening on April 29. This rarity was at a pond north of Larimer CR 60 in the Schware Unit. (Note that this is not Morris Reservoir, which is on the south side of 60).

—-On May 1 a Golden-crowned Sparrow was reported at Riverbend Ponds frequenting the rabbit brush and dirt path at NE corner of the most NE pond; first found 4/25 by Lori Zabel.


PROWERS COUNTY:

—-On May 2 a Scarlet Tanager was reported from Lamar Community College by John Malenich.


PUEBLO  COUNTY:

—-On April 28 a BRONZED COWBIRD was seen in Scroggs Canyon, just north of Craver Middle School, about 1/4 mile west of Crow Cut-off Rd, Colorado City, in SW Pueblo County by David Silverman. No subsequent sightings.
