Yesterday I rode Amtrak from Denver to Grand Junction. I attempted to count Barrow's Goldeneye starting south of Kremmling all the way to Glenwood Springs. The railroad tracks hug the river the entire way except for a few sections. The train moved fairly slow through Upper and Lower Gore Canyons. Here are the numbers:
Barrow's Goldeneye = 182
Canada Goose = 52
American Dipper = 8
Mallards = 10
American Widgeon = 12
Wild Turkey = 36
