All,
A first-year male Surf Scoter was at Boulder Reservoir this morning from 9:30 to 11:30. It was in the western half of the Reservoir and seen from the south shore.
It was with a large raft of Western Grebes and other ducks including lots of female mergansers and a couple of female Lesser Scaup. We also saw the continuing Red-necked Grebe, but it was distant in the far northwest corner of the reservoir.
Peter Gent,
Boulder.
