At Prospect Ponds Natural Area in Fort Collins (Larimer) today I had a Fox Sparrow. It was outside (east of) the southeastern corner of the feed lot that is south of Prospect and east of Sharp Point Drive. I appears to be a "slate-colored" subspecies but the jury is still out whether it is "our" mountain subspecies (shistacea) or the southern BC subspecies (altivagans). I will let you know what Steve Mlodinow says.

FYI, I did NOT see the Rusty Blackbird that keeps eluding me and others.
