[cobirds] Bird Conservancy Banding Report Chico Basin Ranch - 9/19/18

I got a decent amount of diversity at the banding station today in spite of having to close nets early again due to the heat. I caught the season's first Townsend's Warbler, Common Yellowthroat, and Song Sparrow. I also caught the season's second Yellow-breasted Chat and Audubon's Warbler. The total was 36 birds of 12 species.

Here's the summary of newly banded birds for the day:
Wilson's Warbler: 16
Ruby-crowned Kinglet: 3
Orange-crowned Warbler: 7
House Wren: 2
Townsend's Warbler: 1
Audubon's Warbler: 1
Common Yellowthroat: 1
MacGillivray's Warbler: 1
Lincoln's Sparrow: 1
Hermit Thrush: 1
Song Sparrow: 1
Yellow-breasted Chat: 1

You are welcome to visit the banding station. I'll be banding through the first week of October and nets will be open 6 days a week (Monday through Saturday). This week I'm opening nets at 6:50 and banding until 11:50 weather permitting.
