Subject: Acorn Woodpeckers, La Plata County
Saw four Acorn Woodpeckers at the site described in Hugh Kingery's Colorado Birding guide. Follow the directions given there south of Hwy 160, west of Durango. One large dead tree is riddled with acorn holes. Woodpeckers landing on the tree.JoAnn and Bill Hackos
