[cobirds] Black Rail - Lower Latham Reservoir marsh

Hello all:

This evening around 7:00 a Black Rail was persistently singing in the marsh that borders the south side of Road 48 at Lower Latham Reservoir, Weld County.  The bird was at the western end of the marsh (and just east of the out-of-service natural gas facility).

An informed source tells me that this would be the second record for Weld, although the Colorado Bird Records Committee website does not show any previous records for that county.

good birding,

Doug Faulkner
