Re: [cobirds] Walden Ponds area (Boulder) this morning.

Late yesterday afternoon, just before I arrived for another look at the celebrities, two or three other birders had seen the Tricolored apparently struggling to free a foot. It appeared to do so, but then was standing on one leg with wings drooped showing what may have been distressed. On observer thought it might have been injured by a snapping turtle.

Rebecca LaRouche, and Charlie and Lisa Chase and I noted a Caspian Tern
flying over and out of sight a few times at Walden Ponds early today, Monday.

Both of the Little Blue Herons were at Cottonwood Marsh, but the Tricolored Heron was awol.

Rebecca found a Cedar Waxwing on a nest.
