[cobirds] Common Redpoll, Crow Valley

I visited Crow Valley Campground this morning in search of D. Leatherman's Common Redpolls reported a few days ago and I was not disappointed. I had 12 CORE foraging among the seed bearing grasses in the marshy area at the rear of the property (north-east end). I suspect there were more, as additional flyovers had calls not dissimilar to the Redpoll.

Just after noon, while out on the grassland, I saw the Fort Collins Harris's Hawk post on Cobirds, located just .5 mile from my home. So I shot back to FC, blasting through every orange light between Briggsdale and FC (all one of them), just in time to dip on the hawk. So sad, let's hope she hangs around for a bit longer.
